The face oil that took me from blah to bright!

The face oil that took me from blah to bright!

If you know me you know I’m all about skin care. I will slather anything on my face, try any sheet mask and endure slight pains if I think it’ll get me a brighter glow and smaller pores.

That’s why when in Sephora, buying my favorite sleeping mask for my long flight to Paris (pronounced Pari’ now that I’m practically a citizen) I was telling a cute salesperson about how I really wish I spent the summer tanning but I didn’t and as such I don’t have a glow. My skin is naturally very oily and I’m happy about that because wrinkles will never find me *knock on wood*, but I struggle to keep oil in check while looking glowy. To be honest, I’ll even look shiny if it’s the only choice between dull or flat. He recommended Herbivore’s Lapis Faciol Oil and made me one of those flip jar sample cups before I could say yes or no! I devoured the sample. I wasn’t even skeptical. After Sunday Riley’s Luna showed me a good oil can save your skin, I put that sample cup in my ziplock bag carry on liquids stash and used it on the 8hr flight there. I noticed my skin was plump and glowing. I kept checking the lighting in every bathroom on the trip because I looked bright. That’s the only word I can use to describe it, bright. As if my own personal light was following me around everywhere.

We got back and of course, I wanted to purchase the oil. Um. It’s $72. Seventy Two American Dollars. My budget and bank account post European travels laughed. Never. So I started googling and as usual the beauty gods smiled on me.
