Gift Guide

Gift Guide

This gift guide is going to be purely selfish. It’s everything I want. I’ve spent the last few years trying to get everyone in my life to get me consumable gifts that help my wellness & self care. Things I can use up and feel good while I use them. These are all the things I’m hoping for this year. The list is fairly inexpensive with 75% of the items falling under $50 but there’s definitely a few splurges in here too!

Beauty

Peach Slices Face Masks. ($2.49) These sheet masks are my new k-beauty obsession! chic packaging, great scents and effective korean skincare serums.

Face bar ($11.99) & Jade roller ($14.99) There’s a special kind of calm you get when massaging your face with a skin roller. Plus they look amazingly expensive and chic to any bathroom.

Sephora Hand Mask & Sephora Foot Mask. ($5) Two essentials I didn’t know I needed until I did.

Heribivore Hydrate & Glow Set. ($39) A perfect entry set to the Herbivore line.

Sunday Riley Gift Set ($85) My starter Sunday Riley set. It lasts a couple of months and the products are normally in the $100-$200 range.

Drunk Elephant Kit. ($88) The kind of splurge kit you don’t buy for yourself but you hope Santa is listening. This is worth it for the Sukari Baby Facial and Lipbalm, alone.

Face Steamer. ($30) A face steamer is so luxe! But it’s also super affordable and if you have natural hair it can help with moisture. The perfect gift for someone who really cares about skin but doesn’t get regular facials. ( i do not recommend using the tools it comes with on your face. throw those away!)

Wellness

Slippers. ($19) I’ve owned these for the past 2 years. They are the best slippers! They are so comfy and perfect for anyone you absolutely can’t think of what to buy.

Brass Head Massager ($7)- I want this but to use on my husband when he’s laying on me while watching tv and vice versa.

Goyard Inspired Pouches. ($29) Organization is self care. These are obviously inspired by the designer pouches but they are so chic and well made the pattern is just a bonus. If you’re looking for something less printed but still chic try these slightly less expensive ones from a french company.

Quip Toothbrush. ($50) What better way to start the new year than with an upgrade to oral health. It’s available at Target and the Rose Gold looks great in any bathroom.

BRK Water Bottle ($42) A silly splurge of a gift. Who would spend that much on a water bottle for themselves. This water bottle is glass, has a silicone grip design and has a small mouth to simulate drinking from a standard plastic bottle. It’s a great gift.

Voluspa Candle Set ($24 for 3 candles) These candles smell great, the packaging is perfect for displaying and you can break it up give to multiple people or stuff a few stockings.

Blue Sky/ Trina Turk Planner ($15) Can I say it again? Being organized is self care! The actual planner I used this year and loved is sold out but I’ll link to it once it becomes available again. I’m considering this Agenda for 2019. Blue Sky makes the best planners and they have a lot of options so eventually you find a layout you love.

Silk & Sonder Subscribtion ($45 for 3 months) This is an inspired and lovely gift. They send a new monthly planner, every month for 3 months. The planners are full of notes, trackers for productivity, and articles on self care. This is great for someone who is focused on resolutions and self improvement.
***For someone who uses their planner for work/life balance (like myself) the Blue Sky planners are more efficient because you can see month to month easily and plan a few months out.

Books

What I Know For Sure. ($11) Oprah’s Life Lessons. You know that column in the back of every O magazine. She made it into a book full of life lessons. A must have and a must give.

Managing Oneself ($15) If you are looking to become a more effective leader and balance your personal well being this is the book for you. It’s top on my list.

I trust my readers already have Becoming by Michelle Obama, if not stop reading this blog and go grab it immediately. Also google/twitter search clips from her speaking tour. She never disappoints and we’re so lucky to have her.

Stylish Splurges

Dange Dover Landon Carryall Duffle Bag. Medium ($155) or Large ($185) in Dune. If you like me have an ex. large laptop the Large in Dune is the bag you need for all your commuting needs. The medium looks amazing in Heather Grey, Sienna or Camel. This bag has a laptop sleeve, space for a water bottle and an outside pocket for your phone or train ticket.

ASOS Banana Leaf Pajamas ($45) A fun lounger set that’s always in style. Also some people (me) wear the pajamas separately outside. Like the top with white jeans and gold sandals and the bottoms with a plain yellow tee.

Karl Lagerfeld Oxfords. ($89) I’m obsessed with these loafers. They look stylish, comfy and can be worn with everything.
***2019 is the year I buy all “special shoes” and the KL shoes at Saks Off Fifth all fit that description. Fairly inexpensive and perfect if you want pieces that stand out.

That’s it! That’s everything I’m hoping for this year, plus a few extras I think the people you love will love.
