Fall Beauty & Body Tips
Using a serum before sheet masks.
The extra hydration cannot be beat!! Moist skin is plump, youthful happy skin. I throw on a Hydraulic/ Lactic Acid blend. I use this combo when I need an especially good skin day the next day.
Using a Russian scrub glove in the bath.
I first heard about this scrub glove in a NYMag article about soft skin. I’ve started dry scrubbing then adding Dove Nutirum extra moisturizer in the shower. It not only has given me glowing skin, it helps get rid of those small bumps I develop on my elbow and shoulder. You know the one’s that develop on the back of your arm? I barely have them and my underarms are also a more uniform color.
Soaking in a hot bath with Epsom salts & a dollop of coconut oil.
Ever since the legendary Iman told us about baby oil in the bath I’ve been hooked on dropping a few drops of my favorite body oil while soaking. Just be careful to clean out the tub after. It gets slippery!
Investing in a lotion with paraffin is undefeated.
My feet can get dry and flaky from being exposed all summer so I scrub them in the shower and slather on this lotion. I find it too heavy to be an everyday lotion but it’s great on hands on long flights and to cure winter dryness.
Double and/or Triple cleansing before applying anything.
Currently I vigorously scrub my face with a washcloth in the shower, then use a Micellar Wipe then my acne holy-grail Target’s Up & Up Acne Kit, a ProActive dupe. My skin is super clean before I layer on products which helps them absorb better. When I skip the wipe or the washcloth scrub before cleansing I notice a major difference in my pores.
